Summer holidays in Unken
Discover nature - enjoy nature!
We are sure you will be delighted with the wide range of sports and leisure activities on offer during your summer holiday in Unken. Well-marked hiking and biking trails lead from our holiday home in Unken into the varied landscape of the Unken Heutal region and also into neighbouring Lofer. You can let your mood decide whether you want to take a leisurely stroll across the alpine meadows or perhaps go for a contemplative walk in the valley. Maybe you will prefer to go on a mountain tour up the Sonntagshorn or the Dietrichshorn mountains. The choice is yours! The Almbahn I+II cable cars operate over the summer months and they can both transport you quickly and comfortably into the Almenwelt Lofer hiking and biking region. You can travel on them free of charge with your Summer Card.
Cycling and mountain biking in Unken and the surrounding areas are a great way to really take in the impressive flora and fauna of the region. Mountain bikers will love the unspoiled downhill tracks and challenging single trails. They can look forward to tours across Unken Heutal to Almenwelt Lofer or, if they have any muscle power left in their calves, they can even continue further to Steinplatte Waidring. They will encounter rustic alpine huts and snack stations along the way, which will beckon them to relax on their sun terraces and enjoy a tasty feast. This is most certainly an important aspect of an enjoyable summer holiday in Unken!
